Description
We are now looking for summer substitutes for Älvkarleby Municipality's home care service, where you will have the opportunity to work in a stimulating and meaningful role where you can truly make a difference in people's lives.
In home care, you work independently and in close collaboration with your colleagues, to whom you can always ask questions and receive support.
In Älvkarleby Municipality's home care service, about 90 nursing assistants, caregivers, planning coordinators, and unit managers work together to be there for the users regardless of the time of day. Home care is divided into three different units: Home Care North, Home Care South, and Home Care Center, as well as a joint Night Patrol. Together, our three units work throughout the municipality.
Responsibilities
As a summer substitute in home care, you will have a varied, exciting, and developing job. You will work with care services in the user's own home, helping the user with personal care, cleaning, and security alarms, for example. You will also be responsible for performing certain health care tasks, such as medication and training. Documentation is part of the job.
Your responsibilities will also include performing social documentation and participating in the establishment of individual care plans.
In your work, walking, driving, and cycling may all be relevant modes of transport.
Qualifications
It is important that you enjoy meeting, supporting, and helping other people. Being attentive, humble, and respectful of the equal value of all people are important qualities. Communication and documentation are part of the work. Therefore, you need to be proficient in Swedish, both spoken and written, and be accustomed to using a computer.
If you have studied in the Nursing Program or have other education and experience that we consider equivalent, this is an advantage.
Älvkarleby Municipality is a Finnish administrative area, and knowledge of the Finnish language is an advantage.
A B driver's license is a requirement.
The work involves day, evening, and weekend shifts, and in some operations, also night shifts. We prefer that you can work most of the summer so that both you and the organization can have continuity.
For work within Älvkarleby Municipality's care services, a criminal record extract is required.
Valid ID and right to work in Sweden
To work in Älvkarleby Municipality, you need to show a valid ID that indicates your citizenship. In some cases, you may also need to show a document that proves you have the right to work in Sweden. If you are offered employment, you need to provide one of the following:
- Passport
- Driver's license
- SIS-marked ID card together with a personal certificate showing citizenship
- Other valid ID where citizenship is clearly stated
If you are a citizen of a country outside Sweden, the EU, EEA, or Switzerland, you must also show that you have the right to work in Sweden (e.g., residence or work permit).
Military placement for permanent employees
As a permanent employee in Älvkarleby Municipality, you are, according to the decision of the Municipal Council, military placed at your regular workplace.
