JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

We are now looking for a new teacher for our students starting in January 2026. We need someone who is interested in working with young people, youth who want to pursue both an elite career in sports and achieve good academic results. You are also, together with other staff, an important person regarding the students' social situation in Sandviken. You will work with the subject of special sports, which includes both theory, practice, and individual meetings.

Bessemerskolan has both RIG and NIU. You will be part of the coaching team for the work group, which consists of a total of 7 teachers. The team around orienteering will consist of three full-time teachers by spring.

The job responsibilities include:

• Shared responsibility for planning, implementation, and evaluation of Special Sports within orienteering.
• Responsibility for conversations with assigned students and establishing IUP.
• Mentorship.
• Leading training/lessons, both theoretical and practical.
• Planning and evaluating individually adapted and goal-oriented training programs.
• Documenting and following up on the activities.

QUALIFICATIONS

We believe that you have good experience in leading orienteering training at an elite level for youth and juniors or other specialized skills in physical or mental training. You find it easy to collaborate, are open and creative, and engaged in what you do.

If you are a qualified high school teacher and have coaching training, this is preferred, but other qualifications may be considered.

Great importance will be placed on personal suitability.
