Our Operations

We are now looking for a Cost and Analysis Controller for Akademiska sjukhuset who wants to help ensure efficiency and quality in the hospital's financial management model. We are looking for a driven and analytical person who wants to develop the connection between finance and production at one of Sweden's leading university hospitals. As a Cost and Analysis Controller at our university hospital, you will play a central role in analyzing, planning, and following up on our operations. You will work closely with the hospital's managers at all levels to optimize resource utilization and ensure that production meets both financial and qualitative goals.

Your Mission

• Conduct in-depth cost analyses in areas such as materials, services, and external suppliers.
• Monitor contract compliance, price developments, and volume changes to identify savings and efficiency opportunities.
• Prepare reports, forecasts, and decision-making materials for management and operations.
• Collaborate with the purchasing function, operational managers, and the finance department to strengthen cost control and resource efficiency.
• Develop key performance indicators, comparisons, and models for cost management and value-based decisions.

Goals of the Role:

• Ensure that every krona is used with the highest possible effect.
• Strengthen the management of external costs through transparency, analysis, and follow-up.
• Contribute to a sustainable economy and increased cost efficiency in operations.

In the operational management department at Akademiska sjukhuset, to which this position belongs, there are nine senior controllers including the controller manager. The department is part of the operational economy unit at Akademiska sjukhuset, which has around thirty employees.

Your Qualifications

We are looking for someone who has:

• A university degree in finance or another relevant field
• Several years of experience as a financial controller in complex organizations
• Experience in operational management and process optimization
• The ability to communicate complex information in an easily understandable way
• Experience in controller work within the healthcare sector or similar environment

Your Competence

To succeed in this role, we see that you are self-driven, solution-oriented, and have a strong drive to develop processes. You have the ability to think strategically while also being able to dive into details to get a holistic view of the entire hospital's production chain. Collaboration skills and relationship-building qualities are prerequisites for succeeding in the assignment.
