We are now looking for an experienced Corporate Controller who wants to take a central responsibility in a municipally owned company with an important social mission. The assignment extends to spring 2026 and involves supporting the organization's management during the time before a permanent recruitment is in place.

About the assignment

As a Corporate Controller, you play a key role in supporting the CEO in governance, planning, and follow-up of operations. The role combines strategic work with close contact with the operations and requires a good understanding of how municipal companies are governed, affected by political decisions, and operate in a public context.

You will lead the goal and planning work, be responsible for the structure and quality of matters to the board, monitor relevant decisions from owners and political bodies, and be a natural support in the management team's work.

You will be part of a team with broad expertise and work closely with functions within finance, HR, procurement, communication, and administrative support.

Responsibilities

• Plan, drive, and anchor the company's goal process together with the CEO and management team
• Ensure that the ownership municipalities' goal management is handled in the company's governance
• Prepare and structure management team meetings and take minutes
• Quality assure matters for the board and, if necessary, prepare your own decision and information materials
• Monitor decisions and minutes from municipal bodies and communicate relevant points internally
• Prepare and support meetings with the Technical-Economic Delegation (TED)
• Be the contact point towards the Swedish Companies Registration Office
• Collaborate closely with administrative support before board meetings and strategic forums

Requirements

• Relevant academic education, e.g., in finance, public administration, social sciences, or equivalent
• Several years of experience as a controller in the public sector
• – alternatively, longer experience as a committee secretary/committee coordinator
• Good understanding of municipal processes and corporate governance
• Strong ability to see the big picture and navigate complex governance models
• Very good written communication skills and experience in formulating structured decision materials
• High accuracy and good ability to work towards fixed deadlines
• Experience in business development
