Software Developer with Experience in Java and Container-Based Technology

Are you a software developer with a few years of experience in Java and container-based technology? Are you driven by making a difference and having a real impact on society? Then this could be the role for you.

About the Position

The Swedish eHealth Agency is tasked with building a national digital infrastructure for health, care, and social services to support and enable the sharing of health data between healthcare systems. The infrastructure aims to improve the quality of care, enhance patient safety, strengthen the patient's position, and reduce the administrative burden on healthcare professionals.

As a software developer with us, you will work in an agile team closely collaborating with researchers and business specialists who continuously deliver value. You will engage in test-driven development and test automation as a natural part of your role, making this a position for someone who appreciates a variety of tasks.

You will work closely with your colleagues, and together you will be responsible for the quality of the code produced. The team is technically advanced, and you will have significant responsibility while contributing to the overall project. You will help build a new operational area and create new components, providing excellent opportunities to influence technical development.

About You

You are passionate about technology and move seamlessly between tools and environments. You are eager to learn what you don't know and come up with ideas for new technical solutions and methods. You thrive in collaborative environments, take significant personal responsibility to drive your work forward, and are analytical.

We are looking for someone who has:

  • a university degree in IT, software, or programming, or several years of relevant work experience in similar tasks
  • at least three years of experience working as a software developer with Java as the primary programming language
  • at least two years of experience in development with Quarkus, Spring Boot, or another modern Java framework for microservices
  • at least two years of experience where testing and test automation are integrated into the code's lifecycle management
  • at least one year of experience working with container-based technologies such as Docker, Kubernetes, and OpenShift.

It is a plus if you have:

  • experience in front-end development using frameworks like Vue.js
  • experience publishing and contributing to open source
  • experience working with databases via JPA/Hibernate, particularly with PostgreSQL
  • experience in a Linux environment
  • experience with the Fast Healthcare Interoperability Resources (FHIR) standard or other interoperability standards.
