Your Responsibilities as a Production Engineer

As a production engineer within the Manufacturing Engineering Structural Assembly section at SAAB Aeronautics, you will have a central role in creating the defense aircraft of the future. Here, you will work alongside six other colleagues in close collaboration with technical preparation to define design requirements and ensure that products are manufactured with the right cost and quality. By participating in the manufacturing process, you will influence how high-tech systems are built and optimize work methodologies to achieve maximum efficiency.

Selection of Responsibilities:

Drive improvement work and solve production engineering problems related to the manufacturing of fighter aircraft
Actively participate in how the fuselage should be built and optimize work methodologies for production
Work with flows and Lean for efficient processes
Develop layouts and workplace descriptions
Work closely with preparation for quick feedback and adjustments in optimizing the manufacturing process
The tasks and focus areas can be adapted based on your experience and interests

Your Profile:

To succeed in the role of production engineer at SAAB, you should appreciate teamwork as your role will be a link between technical preparation and production. You are a problem solver who takes initiative and can drive your own work forward. We also value curiosity and a desire to continually expand your knowledge.

Mandatory Requirements:

Post-secondary education in production engineering or another relevant field
At least 2-3 years of work experience in production engineering
Work experience in the manufacturing industry
Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written
Pass a security clearance

Meritorious:

Experience with production systems such as IFS or other systems
