Guardianship Administrator Wanted

The Guardianship Committee is a municipal authority tasked with supervising guardians, curators, and custodians. The operation aims to protect individuals from legal loss and serves as a societal safeguard for vulnerable members of society, i.e., individuals with physical and mental disabilities, the elderly, and children. The Guardianship Office operates on behalf of the Guardianship Committee of Nyköping and Oxelösund.

At the Guardianship Office, you will work with supervision and processing of cases related to guardianship, curatorship, and custodianship for children. We also handle cases concerning guardians for unaccompanied minors.

We are currently seeking two guardianship administrators for fixed-term employment at the Guardianship Office. The office is developing, and we need more staff to meet an increased demand. You will be part of a team that currently consists of 7 people. The focus of the positions will be to conduct reviews and supervision of guardians, curators, and custodians.

RESPONSIBILITIES

In the role of guardianship administrator, you will work to supervise the tasks of guardians, curators, and custodians. You will primarily be responsible for reviewing the accounting documents and reports submitted by guardians, curators, and custodians, which are a significant and important part of the Guardianship Office's mission. The Guardianship Office is also responsible for recruiting and training guardians and curators, which may also be part of your duties. You will also prepare and present cases before the Guardianship Committee.

Together with your colleagues, you will work both independently and in a team, with the task of contributing to legally secure processes and good service. At the Guardianship Office, we continuously work to develop our operations and be an accessible and efficient organization. The work involves many contacts with other authorities and community members.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone with a university degree in law, economics, social sciences, or another field deemed suitable by the employer. The position requires you to express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing. You should have good analytical skills, work in a structured manner, and be able to prioritize and make decisions even in complex cases. You should have a good ability to build trust in meetings with individuals and partners. You should have very good digital skills and use digital tools to support your work. You should also have good administrative skills.

It is advantageous if you have:

• experience in case management within public administration, preferably in regulated areas such as family law or administrative law
• experience with guardianship issues

As a person, we prefer that you are secure, stable, and meticulous. You have the ability to weigh and analyze information. You have a positive attitude towards change and enjoy developing work methods together with others.
