Functional Support is one of the three operational areas within the Welfare Administration and is tasked with implementing decisions made under the LSS Act, primarily decisions regarding housing with special services, personal assistance, and daily activities. The goal of the support provided is to promote equality in living conditions and full participation in community life so that individuals who have been granted assistance can live like others.

We are looking for support assistants for permanent weekend work within Functional Support at the following group homes;

  • Mellansels group home (Mellansel) combined with Lantgården's group home (Själevad)
  • Nötbolandets group home (Domsjö)
  • Fågelängens group home (Högland)
  • Vallens group home (Arnäsvall)
  • Blå lagunens group home (Köpmanholmen)
  • Matrosens Group Home (Järved)
  • Durras group home (Domsjö)
  • Gullstigens children's/youth short-term care (Gullänget)

Additional group homes may become relevant.

Permanent weekend work means that you work 3 out of 4 weekends or 4 out of 4 weekends with a working degree of 40-60% which you can request. You work either Friday, Saturday, Sunday or Saturday, Sunday, Monday, or just Saturday and Sunday. There are varying days as well as on-call and awake night shifts depending on the operation. In your employment, you will also have the opportunity to participate in APT if you wish.

The weekly working time measure is 37 hours/week for full-time, and resource shifts may occur.

Job Responsibilities

You will work based on the users' implementation plans and be responsible for social documentation and other administrative tasks.

Together with your colleagues, you will carry out everyday and planned support measures and activities with the user and support and motivate them in everyday activities at home and during leisure time. It includes building trusting relationships with users and being a good role model.

You will ensure that support measures are based on the user's individual needs, promote independence, participation, and that they are carried out with respect for the user's integrity and self-determination. You will assist with daily chores and activities, personal hygiene, and medication.

You will drive development work forward together with colleagues according to established goals, methods, quality requirements, and other guidelines. Collaborating with the user's network, other staff, and other partners is also an important part of the job.

Our work is carried out through individually tailored support with high quality and self-determination where a good approach permeates all operations.

Qualifications

We are primarily looking for someone with a high school diploma in either;

  • Health and Care program with specialization in functional disabilities or psychiatry,
  • Child and Leisure program with a focus on social work or educational work
  • Or other equivalent education that the employer deems sufficient.

To work in health and care, you must be at least 18 years old. It is important that you have the ability to meet people professionally based on their individual circumstances and needs. As a person, you are self-driven and resilient with a focus on the individual. You are empathetic and responsible and have an easy time collaborating with others. You have good social skills and enjoy working flexibly. We place great importance on personal suitability.

For the job, sufficient knowledge of Swedish in speech and writing is required to communicate with users, perform care documentation, and obtain medication delegation.

A driver's license, category B, is an advantage.
