Description

As an employee of Gislaved Municipality, you are a co-creator in your workplace.

You are given the opportunity and expected to contribute to the development of the organization through your knowledge and experience. Here, respect for differences and the equal value of all people are fundamental.

The Authority Unit – Care and Support is responsible for assistance investigations according to the Social Services Act (SoL) with application in care and support. Fee processing and LOV coordination are also included in the unit's area of responsibility. The unit is a wonderful workplace with employees of varying ages and genders, characterized by a lack of prestige, openness, security, trust, and confidence between employees and leaders.

The unit is centrally located in Gislaved, 300 meters from the bus station and grocery store, as well as close to restaurants and shops. Free parking is available. In Gislaved Municipality, we care about ensuring that all employees feel healthy and well. As an employee of Gislaved Municipality, you have free access to the municipal swimming pool, subsidized wellness programs, and an active staff club that offers many activities. Flexible working hours are applied in the unit, and we have a flexible approach to remote work.

Responsibilities

As a social worker within the Authority Unit for Care and Support (assistance officer), you will investigate and decide on interventions based on the Social Services Act.

You will work according to current guidelines and procedures, responsible for conducting investigations, making decisions, and sending orders to providers in a legally secure manner. The work also includes follow-up and reassessment of previously decided interventions, as well as contacts with other authorities and organizations both internally and externally. The unit's social workers work in different teams where cases are distributed to enable an even workload, and we support each other where needed, which requires you to be adaptable in your work and prioritize according to current conditions. The user perspective is central, and as an employee, you will truly benefit from your skills as a social worker within social services.

Authority exercise should go hand in hand with empathy and constructive collaboration, but also with clarity and methodology that the social worker is expected to embody. Therefore, we emphasize that you are a person who combines your commitment with a calm demeanor and the ability to prioritize and structure your work. You meet people with respect and handle your authority role responsibly by focusing on and analyzing the information and knowledge that is most essential for managing your cases in varying situations. You will have support from team leaders and colleagues, all of whom have a great joy in work, experience, competence, creativity, and empathetic ability.

Qualifications

To succeed and thrive in this role, we envision that you have a degree in social work or another education that the employer deems equivalent (requirement). Experience in authority exercise and/or experience in care and support work is a requirement. Good knowledge of other legislation that governs and regulates the operations is also a requirement. We also see that you have experience with IBIC and/or the operational system Pulsen Combine. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities/suitability. The work requires a B driver's license.

Your collaboration as an employee is deeply linked to your ability to cooperate and participate in your and the organization's development. With us, this means that you have a good collaboration with your manager and colleagues, both in your own workplace and in the rest of the municipal group. You meet everyone with a high level of service, kindness, and high quality through customer and service focus. You take responsibility for being involved in operational issues and are solution-oriented.

We place great importance on personal suitability and that your view of employee collaboration aligns with ours.

We apply a background check (extract from the criminal record) as a form of suitability assessment for all who are offered employment in activities where there is direct and regular contact with children and young people.

Do you want to be part of our success? Welcome with your application!
