The Swedish National Board of Institutional Care, SiS, is an authority responsible for individually tailored compulsory care for young people with complex psychosocial problems and for adults with substance abuse. SiS also implements closed youth care. We do this at youth homes and homes for adults with substance abuse across the country. At SiS, your work life becomes an exciting challenge. SiS LVM Home Hessleby, located in a beautiful forest environment just outside Mariannelund, receives men with alcohol, drug, or mixed substance abuse. We have special competence to accommodate clients with mental health issues or outwardly aggressive behavior. We are tasked with providing care for clients with special care needs.
Job Description
Do you want to help create life-changing transformations for vulnerable people? Then the job as a treatment pedagogue at SiS is a meaningful challenge. As a treatment pedagogue, you work in a team together with treatment assistants and treatment coordinators, and together you are responsible for ensuring that the young people and clients living with us receive the safety, care, and treatment they need. We often meet people in crisis, which means you will work with qualified care and motivational work and provide support in everyday life. With the support of your knowledge in care and treatment work, you actively contribute to the fulfillment of treatment plans. Documentation is an important part of your work, contributing to legal security, planning, and follow-up of our operations. You contribute to maintaining safety according to our routines, and you assist in ensuring that daily life runs smoothly with schooling, cleaning, cooking, etc. Being a contact person is also one of your tasks. The work may also involve mentoring new employees and interns. This is a job for you who see a positive challenge in working with vulnerable people in difficult life situations. The job is often demanding but also stimulating, joyful, and varied.

Working hours are according to a schedule of day, evening, and weekend shifts.
Qualifications
To succeed in your work, you have a solid positive view of people. You are motivated to help people in vulnerable life situations, and you share SiS's values of being a place for change. Furthermore, you have a good ability to create engagement and participation among our youth. As a person, you are secure in yourself and have an easy time building relationships with both young people and other staff members. You have good communication skills and can maintain your calm even in pressured situations. You find it easy to collaborate with others and can handle conflicts constructively.
You should also have:
- A degree from a 2-year post-secondary education at a folk high school or vocational college (KY/YH) with a focus on social/pedagogical treatment work or a degree from a university that we assess as equivalent
- A valid driver's license (B)
- Good Swedish language skills in both spoken and written form

Employment:
The position is a temporary contract until 260531 with the possibility of extension, full-time. Start date according to agreement.
