The Authority Unit for Care and Support

The Authority Unit for Care and Support is part of the social administration and is responsible for the municipality's efforts for the elderly and people with disabilities. Today, the unit consists of 8 social workers, 1 family coordinator, 1 volunteer coordinator, and 1 unit manager.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The role of a social worker is multifaceted, and you will meet all kinds of people in their unique situations. The primary task of the social worker is to carry out authority duties, to investigate, assess, make decisions, and follow up according to SoL and LSS. The work includes guidance for individuals and relatives, as well as close collaboration with internal operations, authorities, and external actors to create secure and appropriate support measures. Our current documentation system is Combine, and we communicate with the region via Cosmic Link. Social workers work with needs assessments according to IBIC, with the individual's needs at the center.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who has a degree from the social work program or equivalent education that we assess as comparable. You have previous experience in authority duties and a good knowledge of applicable legislation and the social services' mission.

Since home visits are part of the job responsibilities, a B driver's license is required as our clients live throughout the municipality's geographical area.

If you enjoy working with people and have a sense of responsibility, this is the assignment for you! You are an engaged and positive person. You have the ability to take your own initiatives and are driven in your own work process, with a good ability to plan and prioritize your tasks. You find it easy to handle when conditions and plans change in the work.

Furthermore, you work for a good working environment together with your colleagues. Every day we work to ensure that the people we meet can live an active, social, and meaningful life on their own terms. Since the work involves many contacts, both internally and externally, you should have good collaboration skills and be outgoing. You should have a good ability to express yourself in speech and writing.
