Category Specialist at Jefferson Wells

Location: Ludvika
Start: February 3rd and at least until December 31st, 2025
Assignment: Replacement for parental leave.

We are now looking for an engaged and driven person to join the Supply Chain Management team at our large industrial client in Ludvika as a Category Specialist.

As a Category Specialist, you will support the development and implementation of sourcing strategies in close collaboration with the Category Manager. You will also be part of the daily operational work with suppliers and other functions within the company.

This role requires you to be humble, as the job involves both strategic work, material follow-up, and working with materials in the client's ERP system (SAP).

We also want the person to be knowledgeable in SAP and have an interest in SAP.

You will work closely with project teams and internal stakeholders to realize the strategies defined during the bidding phase.

You will participate in various projects and implement strategies with flexibility and precision.

Contribute to a growing Supply Chain team, where your role will develop in line with the company's growth. Work closely with the client's suppliers to ensure the best possible supplier performance.

Follow up on activities and deliveries with the client's suppliers. You will drive the daily operational work with suppliers and other functions for this exciting client. Support the global Category Management team with operational tasks such as planning, purchasing, negotiations, and ensuring deliveries in challenging situations.

Your Background

An experienced professional, ready to get started immediately. This is not an entry-level position.

You have an academic degree in a relevant field: Engineering, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or equivalent work experience.
Experience in strategic and tactical Supply Chain Management.
A collaborative team player with a passionate interest in strategic sourcing and supply chain management.
Coordinate SCM activities from projects to manufacturing and suppliers.
Knowledge of SAP MM module.
Proficient in MS Office and Power BI tools.
Business acumen, decision-making, and problem-solving skills. A willingness to contribute your unique perspective and be part of a dynamic, growing team.
Fluent English, both written and spoken is mandatory + Swedish as a merit.

Profile:

Team player who can also work independently
Mid to senior level with several years of experience in a similar role or area
Sector/product knowledge is desirable but open to other backgrounds
Experience from larger companies, but open to profiles from smaller organizations.
Work experience is preferred over education/degree
