Digital Channel and UX Developer
We belong to the City Management Office, which is one of our six departments in Lidingö Municipality. We have approximately 120 employees. We act as the bridge between politics, administration, and the city's various operations. Daily, we assist our colleagues with advice, support, and services in HR, finance, procurement, communication, registration, law, and IT. Here, great expertise and many professional categories come together, creating a dynamic work environment with much exchange and learning.
We are now looking for someone who wants to work as a digital channel and UX developer with us. This is a newly established position that will drive the development of both existing and new channels to ensure that the city has user-friendly and relevant channels, services, and functions that provide a good user experience.
The position is, together with, for example, the web system administrator and solution architect, organizationally placed in the IT and Digitalization Unit, but the work is carried out in close collaboration with the Communications Unit and other operations within the city.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In your role, you will be responsible for developing, structuring, and managing the organization's digital channels. The role combines strategic communication, creative idea development, and technical expertise to create user-friendly, accessible, and target group-adapted solutions.
You will also be responsible for the development and integration of web solutions in our digital channels such as websites, digital screens, and other relevant digital channels and solutions so that the city can work agilely with a development focus from a user perspective.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for someone with an education in web design, web development, programming, system architecture, communication, or equivalent that the employer assesses as comparable.
We believe you have experience working with CMS (e.g., Sitevision, WordPress, or similar) and experience building and structuring websites from scratch or through further development. You are accustomed to working data-driven and transforming insights and trends into strategies for the development of channels, search, websites, and content. We also think you have good experience in UX design and driving the development of digital channels.
For the position, it is important to have good knowledge of:
- HTML, CSS, and basic JavaScript
- APIs and how data integrations work
- Figma or Adobe XD
- Accessibility, WCAG, and the DOS Act
You have an understanding of information architecture and user-centered design, as well as the ability to analyze and translate communicative, technical, and structural needs into practical solutions. You also have experience working with SEO optimization, metadata, internal search engine logic, UX writing, and plain language, as well as using and interpreting data from tools such as Siteimprove, Matomo, Google Analytics, or similar.
We see it as an advantage if you have previous experience in web design and agile working methods and/or project management. It is also advantageous if you have experience working in the public sector.
As a person, we believe you are service-oriented, self-driven, and have a well-developed ability to collaborate. You are also creative with a good sense of structure and detail.
