The Adult Psychiatry Area (VO) in Helsingborg has clinics and teams located in Helsingborg, Landskrona, and Ängelholm. All inpatient care is located in Helsingborg, and we have a total of 470 employees in the entire organization. Our catchment area includes ten municipalities in northwestern Skåne. Since January 1st, Region Skåne and Lund University classify us as university healthcare, and we are constantly working to increase the research connection to our operations.

At the LARO Adult Psychiatry Clinic in Helsingborg, we work with assessment, evaluation, and substitution treatment for individuals diagnosed with opioid dependence. Psychiatry is a significant part of daily work, and treatment of mild somatic issues and ADHD occurs. Conversations with patients and collaboration with the surrounding community, especially with the social services, are important aspects of our work. We work in interdisciplinary teams where various professional categories collaborate to provide the best possible care for our patients.

RESPONSIBILITIES

As a specialist physician, you will be a central part of the team in building our new clinics. You will actively contribute to creating structures, routines, and a working method characterized by quality, collaboration, and a clear patient focus.

In your clinical work, your main tasks will be to provide medical advice, diagnose, assess, and treat patients according to current research and proven experience. Here, you will often encounter complex and challenging care processes where your expertise makes a real difference for the patient.

As a physician with us, you will have great opportunities to develop both the department and the content of care together with the unit manager and other colleagues. We are constantly striving to improve and develop our operations, and we welcome your knowledge, ideas, and experience. Since we receive medical students from the basic education, you are also expected to contribute to the supervision of all levels of training physicians both in the department and as part of the on-call work at the clinic.

QUALIFICATIONS

You who are applying are a licensed physician with the authority to practice within Swedish healthcare. Additionally, you have specialist competence in psychiatry. Language skills in Swedish at least corresponding to level C1 according to the Council of Europe's level scale are a requirement. You should have completed or planned a course in clinical supervision. We consider it an advantage if you have experience working with addiction care, preferably within LARO and psychiatric outpatient care. It is also advantageous if you have experience and interest in organizational development, change work, or the establishment of new units.

You also have a desire to develop yourself, your coworkers, and the organization. Furthermore, you find it easy to communicate and have good abilities to plan and structure both your work and the unit's work. You have a good ability to work within established frameworks and guidelines while always keeping the patient's best interests in focus. We place great importance on personal suitability and good collaboration skills.

At a university healthcare unit, it is required that physicians have pedagogical experience and training. You may have acquired this through supervision of, for example, nursing and medical students as well as physicians in training and as co- or primary supervisors of doctoral candidates. Clearly describe in your application any completed or planned pedagogical courses, experience in supervision, and teaching at various levels.
