Sanda Adapted Upper Secondary School is part of Sandagymnasiet. The school has a clear sports profile where Sanda Sports Center is part of the operation. Approximately 1200 students attend the school, and there are about 200 staff members in the organization. Your new job

As a special teacher or teacher at our adapted upper secondary school, you will primarily work with teaching and the tasks associated with it. You will be part of a team as a responsible mentor in a working group consisting of various professional roles, where you all work as a team around the students during their school day.

In our operations, every student should have the opportunity to be challenged to reach the peak of their potential. Your task is to take responsibility for and have insight into the students' results, which means being attentive, flexible, and responsive to each student's conditions and needs. Your belief in the students' ability to develop should be high, and you possess the ability to capture and stimulate the students' curiosity, interest, and learning.

Your qualifications

We are primarily looking for you who are a trained special teacher with a focus on intellectual disabilities or a certified teacher. It is a merit if you are qualified and/or have experience teaching music and other artistic subjects. You have knowledge and experience in alternative augmentative communication (AAC), including sign-supported communication (TAKK), and knowledge and experience with students with various disabilities. It is desirable if you have knowledge of NPF/Autism and experience from adapted schools (formerly special schools).

Basic IT competence is a requirement, and you use ICT as a natural part of teaching. We place great emphasis on taking responsibility for relevant professional development to grow and want to develop together with others in the profession and colleagues. Personal suitability is of great importance.
