Your New Job

Sanda Middle School is a school for grades 7-9, and we are currently looking for someone who can teach Spanish and preferably another subject. As a teacher at Sanda Middle School, it is an advantage if you have an interest in sports, as a large part of the students are admitted through a sports profile.

You will be part of a team and participate in the team's collective work. You will contribute to a good learning environment through collegial collaboration. You will also collaborate with other staff at the school. You are committed to staying updated as a teacher and in your subject through environmental monitoring, professional development, and collegial learning. In your role, in addition to teaching at the middle school level, you will also have mentorship responsibilities in grade 8. You are expected to work with digital tools in your teaching.

Sanda Education Center in Huskvarna consists of four different school forms; high school, adapted high school, adapted primary school, and middle school. At Sanda Education Center, over 1400 students study. We have close cooperation regarding staff and facilities among these four school forms.

The middle school at Sanda has had a clear focus on sports since its inception over 10 years ago and will continue to do so as we grow. Currently, we have about 80 students per grade in grades 8-9, all of whom have applied and been admitted through tests in their special sport. In grade 7, we have around 100 students from the school's catchment area and just as many in our sports profile. Health and sports are part of our DNA, and we care about sustainable health for both students and staff.

Your Competence

You have the competence to teach grades 7-9 in Spanish and preferably another subject. You are also aware of the importance of adapting teaching to all students' needs and conditions and want to take responsibility for both your teaching and common issues at the school. A fundamental starting point in your work is to always strive to create good relationships with the students. You have the ability to work both independently and in a group and are skilled at communicating with guardians, students, and staff at the school.

Good to Know

The position is a permanent employment provided you are a qualified teacher. Start date is by agreement. If you are not a qualified teacher, it will be a temporary position as an unqualified teacher according to the Education Act.

To facilitate the recruitment process, we ask you to attach relevant certificates and grades for the position you are applying for, as well as at least two references. Please note that the Education Act requires all employees to present an extract from the criminal record register.

Before hiring new staff for our teaching positions, we must ensure that there is a valid teaching license. Therefore, we ask you to attach a current teaching license obtained from the Swedish National Agency for Education within the last two months.
