Are you a licensed preschool teacher with a passion for children's creativity and learning? At Regnbågens Preschool, you will become part of a warm and dedicated team that is passionate about Reggio Emilia-inspired work and a program based on Christian values.

You will be part of a team responsible for planning, implementing, and evaluating the educational activities, ensuring that teaching and education are conducted according to the preschool's governing documents. We work from an approach inspired by the municipal preschools in Reggio Emilia, which means we start from the competent child and a multifaceted exploration of children's questions. Through a project-based approach, we allow children to test their thoughts and questions through exploratory play and in aesthetic expressions.

We systematically work with reflection and documentation as tools to follow and challenge children's curiosity, interests, and questions. The work is based on a value-based practice with a culture of reflection and participation and collegial learning.

About Regnbågens Preschool

Regnbågens Preschool is located in Bankeryd and is run by the Bankeryd Mission Congregation. The preschool has a nature-close location with forests and waterways around the corner, while also being close to our local community. The activities are conducted in the mission church's premises, which gives us access to facilities such as a gymnasium and a banquet hall. The preschool consists of three departments with age divisions of 1–2.5 years, 2.5–4 years, and 4–5 years.

Regnbågen has a stable staff group as well as its own pool of substitutes. Our cook, who is also a baker, prepares all meals from scratch, and the kitchen is in close proximity to the departments. The food is highly appreciated by both children and staff.

We aim to create a creative preschool education based on our core values: Curiosity, Amazement, and Faith & Hope. The preschool operates from a Christian value base, and our activities are inspired by the municipal preschools in Reggio Emilia and their philosophical and pedagogical approaches.

Who are we looking for?

We are looking for you who are a licensed preschool teacher with teaching certification, or who will complete your preschool teacher education after the turn of the year. Experience and interest in a Reggio Emilia-inspired approach is significant for the role and is considered an asset.

As a person, you are creative and contribute new ideas, while being flexible and easily adaptable to changing situations. You have a positive and warm presence that creates a pleasant atmosphere around you, and you support our Christian values.

We value your ability to inspire both children and colleagues, as well as your willingness to collaborate and build good relationships. You are attentive and responsive to children's needs, which helps you create participation and provide each child with the right conditions to explore, develop, and learn.

The Position

The position is 100% with a start date to be agreed upon.

We apply a 6-month probationary period for new positions.
