Junior IT Support Technician

ABOUT THE POSITION

As a junior IT support technician, you will handle IT-related issues for the organization's users, including researchers and staff, in a dynamic and international environment. You will be a key person in delivering technical support and ensuring a high user experience on campus.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Tasks

Recently, a backlog of issues and tasks has been built up, so there will be things to do from the start. You will provide support to colleagues for both PC and Mac, and the support area may also include hardware, software, reinstallations/new installations, etc.

  • Handle incoming issues via portal, email, phone, and on-site.
  • Follow SLAs according to our Incident process.
  • Provide support via remote tools for our Client Computer Service.
  • Provide on-site user support as needed.
  • Manage installations and orders of computers and conference equipment.

WE ARE LOOKING FOR YOU WHO

  • Have previous experience in on-site support.
  • Have relevant education in IT support or equivalent experience.
  • Have good knowledge of IT, usage, installation, troubleshooting of hardware and software.
  • Have good knowledge of PC and Mac.
  • Have experience with ticketing systems.
  • Are fluent in Swedish and English.
  • Are passionate about service quality and IT.

It is a merit if you have:

  • Experience with JAMF/Apple School Manager.
  • Knowledge of Linux (Redhat/Ubuntu).
  • Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics 365.
  • Knowledge of Sharepoint.
  • Additional language skills.
