About the job
As the SAM responsible, you will play a key role in the Swedish Tax Agency's license and software management, contributing to ensuring compliance, risk minimization, and cost-effectiveness throughout the organization. The role involves responsibility for ensuring a successful model for license management and strategic advisory within software investments with the right tools, people in the organization, and processes. You are part of supplier governance, where we ensure effective management and follow-up of our suppliers and contracts.
In this independent and central role, you will lead the work to optimize license processes and ensure correct documentation of software assets. You will collaborate closely with both internal and external stakeholders, including suppliers, to create sustainable strategies for license management and software compliance. Throughout, you will effectively collaborate with other departments within the agency to ensure that contractual issues are handled correctly and contribute to good internal communication and cooperation.
Your main tasks include assisting internal stakeholders with advisory on license issues and ensuring smooth reporting and renewal of licenses. Furthermore, you will ensure optimized license management, support the department in software management issues, and contribute to effective procurement processes and cost-effectiveness. You will also have ownership of processes related to license management in systems and tools.

You will be placed in the Business Development Section, part of the Staff Unit within the IT department. The location is Sundbyberg, and there are 20 colleagues in the section.

You should also have:
- a university degree that the employer deems relevant or several years of current and relevant work experience
- several years of current and relevant work experience in license management within a larger complex organization
- several years of current and relevant work experience in procurement and supplier governance of complex contracts in IT-related areas
It is desirable if you have current and relevant technical understanding of software distribution and management within IT environments. It is also desirable if you have relevant experience in implementing SAM tools.
Good to know
The employment is permanent and may start with a six-month probationary period.
Employment with us may involve placement in a security class. A security review with a background check according to the Security Protection Act (2018:585) may therefore be conducted before a decision on employment. For some of our tasks in security class, Swedish citizenship is required.
