Eric Ruuth Cultural Center is a hub in the municipality's cultural life. Here, there is a cultural school and youth activities, as well as close cooperation with local orchestras; we are a total of 35 employees.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

Do you want to be one of us, those who meet the municipality's fantastic youth every day? Youth who give us both laugh lines and gray hair.

You will plan, implement, and evaluate activities based on the interests and needs of the youth.

Engaging in conversation and building relationships with youth should feel natural to you.

Together, we create safe and welcoming meeting places, which requires you to be able to work individually as well as in a group.

We staff a total of 5 youth centers, 4 with fixed locations and 1 mobile youth center, for youth in our target group from grade 6 up to 17 years old.

At Eric Ruuth Cultural Center, we work together for the municipality's children and youth. In addition to our regular operations, we also plan and implement various activities in connection with school breaks and the municipality's own youth initiative, Summerkick.

The work is scheduled for evenings and weekends, so it is important that you enjoy a varied schedule.

QUALIFICATIONS

You are a person who:

• is social and outgoing - easily creates contact and builds relationships.
• is brave and unafraid - willing to take initiative and handle challenges.
• has physical stamina and energy to participate in activities and create engagement.
• is curious about youth culture - follows trends and interests.
• has good collaboration skills.
• is confident in yourself and shows a high degree of maturity and self-awareness.
• is empathetic and can read people - understands and can meet the different needs of youth.
• is an educated recreation leader or has an education that we consider equivalent.
• has experience in similar work with youth.

For us, it is important that you genuinely want to be a recreation leader!

We also consider it an advantage if you have a driver's license and are multilingual.
