Our client is looking for a Data Engineer who will be part of a new team that will create a bridge between data producers and data consumers. The team's first task is to establish the very first Source Aligned Data Product.

You will have the opportunity to collaborate with many different groups and challenge the current best practices regarding the creation and management of data products. There will be great interest in the team's progress, which will be shared regularly.

Responsibilities

As a Data Engineer, your main responsibilities will include:

• Creating, maintaining, and driving data products based on business needs and given architectural principles.
• Providing feedback on the operational model, architectural guidelines, and platform services to continuously improve these.

• Python, Apache Spark, Bash, Table Formats (Delta)
• Cloud Technologies (Azure)
• Docker, Databricks/Snowflake, GitHub

Qualifications

Our client is looking for a candidate with at least 5 years of experience in related fields and who is familiar with agile methodologies. You are fluent in English, both spoken and written. We are also looking for the following:

• Deep knowledge and passion for modern principles of data architecture.
• Experience in designing, developing, and operating data pipelines.
• Extensive practical experience as a Data Engineer in an agile environment, with an understanding of ETL, Streaming Data Integration, and Change Data Capture (CDC).
• Ability to work both independently and in a team.
• Pragmatic approach, understanding the trade-offs between the perfect solution and a workable solution.
• Passion for improving both code quality and data quality.
• Knowledge of data modeling, data access, and data storage technologies.
• Experience with cloud technologies (Azure and AWS).
• Experience applying methods and tools for data protection and privacy.
• Fluent Swedish skills both spoken and written.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in software development, SQL, and Data Streaming (Apache Kafka).
• Knowledge of CI/CD tools.
• Ability to apply product-based thinking when working with data.
• Experience in data governance, modern data architecture (such as Data Mesh), and data cataloging and observability platforms to ensure data quality and compliance.
