The Role of the Office

The office has a municipality-wide strategic, coordinating, and enabling role. The areas of responsibility are:

• leadership and governance (goal management, internal control, management support, business development)
• administration (political processes, case management, archives and registration, information security, municipality-wide agreements, election work)
• crime prevention work and information security
• strategic community development (place development, tourism, ecological sustainability, and social sustainability)
• culture and leisure as well as the preservation and development of cultural environments and cultural heritage
• the municipality's public and school libraries
• communication (external and internal)
• reception

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The position of coordinator is varied and has a wide range and variation in tasks. The role involves independently driving processes, often in collaboration within the administration with other departments in the municipality or with our municipal companies. Assignments may come from the head of administration, management group, or be initiated by the Municipal Executive Board.

Main areas of responsibility:

• Coordinate and develop the municipality's work in crime prevention according to applicable laws and guidelines.
• Coordinate and develop the municipality's work in information security according to applicable laws and guidelines.
• Investigate other development issues within the office's area of activity as needed.

The assignment includes:

• Analyzing needs, developing, and implementing various governing documents, such as policies, guidelines, and routines primarily within crime prevention and information security. Other areas of activity may also become relevant, especially in relation to the municipality's various development processes.
• You work at both strategic and operational levels, which should be based on research and evidence with a focus on long-term preventive work.
• Educate and support the municipality's operations in the implementation of the above.
• Monitor the environment, be an expert, and prepare decision-making materials for management and politics.
• Conduct follow-ups, analyses, and reviews/assessments, such as risk analyses, incident management, and deviation management regarding information security incidents.
• Conduct investigations and prepare proposals for responses to internal and external referrals.
• Participate in collaboration and be the municipality's contact person in relation to the municipality's companies, authorities, civil society, and other relevant actors.
• Communicate to different target groups with tailored messages, e.g., on the web, in social media, and other channels.
• Work outside regular working hours may occur, e.g., during citizen dialogues, lectures, and events.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Relevant academic education/degree or experience deemed equivalent.
• Experience in crime prevention work, information security, or similar, preferably within the public sector or municipal company.
• Driver's license (B)

Desirable Experience

• Experience in conducting analyses and investigations at a formal level, such as governing documents, decision-making materials, and opinions.
• Good knowledge of content and methods within strategic crime prevention and safety-related work and information security, such as MSB's and Brå's methodological support materials or management systems for information security according to method or standard.
• Knowledge of relevant laws and regulations in crime prevention, information security, NIS 2, GDPR, and public access and confidentiality.
• Experience in project and change management.
• Experience working with social sustainability issues within the public sector.

In this role, you will work closely with all other departments in the municipality, municipal companies, and security protection managers/emergency coordinators, participate in collaboration groups within the county, and have contacts with authorities.

Special assessments according to the municipality's routines may be relevant.

OTHER
