We are now looking for you who want to make a difference for those we serve! Växjö Municipality is Kronoberg's largest employer, working every day, all year round, for our residents, businesses, and visitors. Together, we create a sustainable tomorrow and an attractive municipality to live, work, and thrive in – today and in the future. This means a job where we challenge ourselves to think innovatively, learn, and develop with each other. Do you want to be part of a larger context where you can truly make a difference? Welcome to us at Växjö Municipality!

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a business developer, you will drive, support, and implement development assignments in our journey towards the future social services. We aim to become more preventive, accessible, equal, and knowledge-based. We are now looking for someone who wants to contribute to a more knowledge-based social service!

You will independently and collaboratively develop and change working methods and approaches, conduct various investigations and assignments, write reports, and prepare decision-making materials. Your focus will be on participating in the work to develop a more knowledge-based social service. You will be responsible for assignments and be an expert in matters related to monitoring, development, and research related to the field of social services.

Your role includes contributing to the interpretation and analysis of results, systematically following up and evaluating development work and our operations. One of the assignments will involve building collaboration with universities. Being responsive to the needs of the operations, monitoring both research and changes in the external environment, as well as disseminating knowledge, planning, and implementing various training initiatives are part of the role. Other assignments to ensure quality and develop the operations beyond your focus may also arise.

About the Workplace

You will belong to the development unit where our central resources for business development, system management, committee administration, security, and local supply are located. With us, you will work alongside competent and development-oriented colleagues - we are about 20 employees with different competencies and focuses who support each other in the department's area of responsibility.

The Department for Work and Welfare is responsible for areas such as individual and family care, labor market and employment, adult education, integration, refugee reception including unaccompanied refugee minors, family law, support for people with disabilities, and budget and debt counseling.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for an engaged business developer who has:

  • at least three years of higher education in a relevant field, such as social work, social sciences, or other relevant education deemed equivalent by the employer
  • experience in strategic development and change work
  • good knowledge of process, project, investigation, and/or evaluation methodology.

We believe you have knowledge in statistics, particularly quantitative methods, experience in follow-up work (preferably individual-based systematic follow-up, ISU), and experience from a politically governed organization.

As a person, you are solution-focused and have an easy time building trust. You have good analytical skills and can manage multiple parallel assignments. To succeed in this role, you need to be self-driven, structured, with the ability to plan and organize your work against deadlines, and unpretentious in your tasks. The role involves collaboration with various functions and actors, so we are looking for someone who can easily hold together and lead collaboration. The assignment requires very good knowledge of Swedish and the ability to communicate effectively in both spoken and written forms to convey and present information and materials to different target groups. Good computer skills are a prerequisite.

During the recruitment process, great importance will be placed on personal qualities.

Ongoing selection and interviews may take place, so please send your application as soon as possible.

Interviews are planned to be conducted in weeks 50-51.

Welcome with your application!
