Your Workplace

At BVC in Säffle, you will be one of three child health nurses working alongside three midwives, a pedagogue, and two social workers at the family center. Our units have a good collaborative climate and engaged employees. In Säffle, we work with Backa barnet, a common model to ensure children's rights, early identification of needs, and provide coordinated support to give every child the best possible start in life.

The work is during the day, and you have great opportunities to plan both your schedule and your tasks. The position is a six-month temporary contract.

Your Responsibilities

As a child health nurse, you will work with a focus on the child, promoting health and prevention with information on topics such as breastfeeding, nutrition, sleep, language development, vision, hearing, self-care, and child safety. Together with the parents, you will follow the child's development until school age.

As a child health nurse, you will provide support in parenting, health monitoring, and vaccinations according to the national vaccination program for children aged 0-6 years. At the family center, we have close collaboration with midwives, doctors, preschools, social services, social workers, psychologists, leisure leaders, and others.

Your Skills and Competencies

You are a licensed district nurse or pediatric nurse with prescribing rights. Previous experience in child health care is desirable but not required. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability. A valid driver's license (B) is required as home visits are part of the duties.

The work is independent, but close collaboration within the team and with other actors requires very good teamwork skills.
