The Elderly Sector in Kil Municipality is responsible for the authority's operations regarding elderly care and social psychiatry according to the Social Services Act, as well as interventions according to the Act on Support and Service for Certain Disabled Persons (LSS). The sector is also responsible for the execution of all elderly care, municipal health and medical care, rehabilitation, memory teams, and support for relatives.

Description

We are now looking for a temporary physiotherapist to join our wonderful rehab team in Kil Municipality as we have colleagues going on parental leave.

The start date will be agreed upon and will last throughout 2026 with the possibility of extension.

The rehab team currently consists of occupational therapists, physiotherapists, rehabilitation assistants, assistive technology technicians, and assistive device assistants. The team belongs to the Health, Care, and Interventions unit, where the municipality's nursing team, assistance officers, memory teams, support for relatives, and fee assessors also work.

We operate from the town of Kil where rehab has shared offices and we travel to patients' homes by walking, cycling, or using the municipality's cars.

Job Responsibilities

As a physiotherapist with us, you will work with assessments, functional capacity, treatment, and rehabilitation. The job also involves prescribing assistive devices and providing guidance to care staff.

In your daily work, you will have dialogues with various professionals within the municipality as well as externally with, among others, the Region.

With us, you will work alongside a wonderful team that is competent, creative, and has a great joy of work, as well as a willingness to welcome a new colleague in the best way. You will work both independently and together with occupational therapists, care staff, nurses, and assistance officers. Together, we work towards preventive measures, health issues, and preserving individuals' independence.

Working as a physiotherapist in Kil Municipality is varied, rewarding, and gives you the opportunity to meet patients with different types of diagnoses, disabilities, and life situations. You have significant influence and are largely responsible for planning and organizing your work, but with openness to the team. We take great responsibility for the mission in our team.

Documentation is done in the operational system Lifecare HSL.

Qualifications

Licensed physiotherapist, experience in municipal health and medical care is an advantage. Great emphasis is placed on personal qualities.
