The Torsby Health Center has approximately 10,600 registered patients and a staff of around 35 people with broad expertise.

The medical team consists of four specialists and five resident doctors – with a variety of ages and experiences. District nurses, practical nurses, social workers, psychologists, CBT therapists, healthcare administrators, and foot therapists also work here.

We are co-located with Torsby Hospital. In the same building, there are emergency services, laboratories, radiology, outpatient rehabilitation, family centers, and outpatient psychiatry. Torsby is strategically located with good train, bus, and flight connections to Karlstad and Stockholm.

Your Responsibilities

As a specialist in general medicine, you will have a stimulating and developing job focused on continuity and your own patient list. The role may include rounds in home care and SÄBO, supervision of students and training doctors, as well as work at BVC and BMM. You will work closely with competent colleagues from various professional categories. On-call and emergency duties are included according to a rotating schedule.

Your Skills and Qualifications

We are looking for a licensed physician with specialist competence in general medicine.

• Ability to take initiative and plan, organize, and prioritize your work independently.
• Confidence in pressured situations and clear communication in meetings with both patients and colleagues.
• Ability to collaborate and thrive in an environment where dialogue and cooperation are a natural part of everyday life.
• A quality-conscious approach and good judgment in medical assessments.
• A valid driver's license is required as travel may be involved in the job.
• Good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written.

It is an advantage if you have experience in health center work and supervision of training doctors.
