Registered Nurse for Orthopedic Department

NU-sjukvården is part of the Västra Götaland region and is one of Sweden's larger county hospitals. We are located at NÄL (Norra Älvsborg County Hospital) in Trollhättan and Uddevalla Hospital. The hospital's catchment area encompasses 280,000 residents. Together, we are about 5,000 employees who work every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare. You will be involved in creating an orthopedic department that you can be proud of and promote a work environment with a climate where employees feel a sense of belonging and safety in the team.

In our department, we work in three care teams with 8 available care places + 2 overflow places in each team. In the team, you will work together with 2 nursing assistants and 1 healthcare assistant. The patients in the care group will have mixed levels of care, ranging from acute patients to those who are more ready for discharge.

The working method is characterized by a high pace and places great demands on competence and responsibility from everyone in the team to ensure patient safety. The work is varied, and the tasks revolve around pre- and post-operative care, trauma, and infection patients.

In our workgroup, we actively work with respect, support, and we learn from each other and we take advantage of the patient's involvement in the care processes. In the department, we work together to achieve long-term sustainability and to create a good work environment.

As part of this, your participation is crucial in various areas such as working methods, routines, and schedule management for us to achieve success.

The goal of our unit is high patient safety, good care, recurring training, and balanced staffing.

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. You need to have qualities that contribute to a good work environment, good communication, and a strong commitment to the department's work and development. Great emphasis is placed on personal suitability.

Work at other orthopedic clinics may occur. Interviews may take place during the application period.

Clinical Foundation Year
