Job Advertisement: Kitchen Assistant in Stroke Unit
The Hospitals in the West is an administration within the Västra Götalandsregion and consists of four hospitals – Alingsås Hospital, Angered Local Hospital, Högsbo Local Hospital, and Kungälv Hospital. Approximately 3000 employees work with us every day to provide good and safe specialist healthcare of the highest quality.
Description
Ward 6 is a stroke unit at Kungälv Hospital and part of the area of operations for Geriatrics, Neurology, and Rehabilitation. In the stroke unit, we primarily care for stroke patients but also have patients with other internal medicine diagnoses.
Responsibilities
You will be responsible for the patient kitchen during weekends, Saturday and Sunday from 07:00 to 15:00. This includes preparing breakfast, lunch, and afternoon snacks, making food orders, handling dishwashing and cleaning, as well as other kitchen tasks. You will work closely with nursing assistants and nurses on the ward.
Qualifications
We are looking for someone who has completed high school education. Training in healthcare or service is an advantage, as well as experience working as a kitchen assistant. As a kitchen assistant, you should also be proficient in the Swedish language.
If you enjoy interacting with people, are social, and have a service-oriented mindset, this is the right place for you. If you are flexible, enjoy working in a team as well as independently, and are reliable and meticulous, you possess the right qualities for the job. It is important that you have a good attitude towards staff, patients, and relatives in a hospital environment.
Conditions
The position is a part-time employment of 16 hours per week on weekends.
