Nephrology in Skaraborg includes outpatient clinics, inpatient wards, PD clinics, and the Dialysis Unit in Skövde.

It is a highly specialized outpatient service that provides care with a wide range. We treat both chronically and acutely ill patients. Connected to the Dialysis Unit, advanced home healthcare in the form of self-dialysis is also conducted. In nephrology, we strive for a patient-centered approach where the patient is an obvious co-actor in their own care.

We are now looking for a nurse for a permanent position in the Dialysis Unit.

Job Responsibilities

In the Dialysis Unit, you will work to offer all patients high-quality dialysis treatment. The goal of the treatment is to create engaged patients who can live an active life with good quality of life despite chronic illness. We work within a highly specialized outpatient service where we use technical equipment in our daily work. In the unit, we focus on continuous improvements to make healthcare in Skaraborg even better. As a new nurse with us, you will receive a thorough introduction to feel secure in your role as a nurse when you start working more independently. The service operates during the day from Monday to Saturday with early evenings on Monday, Wednesday, and Friday.

Qualifications

We are looking for you who are a licensed nurse. We see that you are communicative, proactive, and understand the importance of close collaboration with your colleagues. You work with continuous improvements to deliver good quality care, and you are a person who contributes to development and knowledge in your work. You should enjoy working with technical equipment as this is part of the daily work. Since you will work closely with patients, we believe it is important that you are good at building relationships to make patients feel safe and involved in their treatment.

We will place great emphasis on personal suitability.

Other

If you are a newly graduated nurse, you will be part of the Clinical Foundation Year, which is our introductory program. The Clinical Foundation Year is mandatory and lasts for the first year of your employment with us. It includes introductory days, supervision and training days, and observation days. The purpose of the Clinical Foundation Year is to create good conditions for newly graduated nurses to strengthen their theoretical knowledge and practice skills while growing into their new profession.

In the event of recruitment of nurses with foreign qualifications/specialist certificates, the current position will be preceded by a process to meet the requirements for Swedish qualifications/specialist certificates.
