The Health and Elderly Administration is one of the largest administrations in Borås City.

In our Health and Medical Care organization, nurses, occupational therapists, physiotherapists, pharmacists, nursing assistants, and rehabilitation assistants work in 10 health and medical care teams. In total, we are about 300 people who together develop municipal health and medical care to provide our patients with the best possible care, now and in the future.

We are now looking for two nurses, one for our HSV team working in Göta and Viskafors and one for our team in Norrby/Sandhult.

With us, as a nurse, you will meet patients where they are - in their homes. This is a job that requires independence and commitment. Like the others in your team, you will have your office workspace in nice and suitable premises on Trandögatan in Borås.

You will care for patients with various care needs and diagnoses, assessing, implementing, evaluating, and documenting medical interventions. In our team, we work collaboratively and cross-professionally with the patient's best interests in focus. The tasks may include work in both ordinary housing and care homes. In your role as a nurse, you have significant freedom under responsibility to work independently and organize and direct your own work, but we are also there for each other and help one another. We know that the work of a nurse is meaningful, varied, and developing, but it can also be challenging at times. Therefore, it is especially important for us to have a pleasant atmosphere, team spirit, and a good collaborative climate where we trust each other, support each other, and have fun together at work.

Collaboration with various healthcare providers such as hospitals and health centers is part of everyday life. Your tasks will include mentoring and training care staff in health and medical interventions. You will also participate in development work to improve and develop our operations.

You are a licensed nurse with the authority to work within Swedish healthcare, and we prefer that you have had some experience in your professional role. If you have experience working with the target group, it is an advantage. If you have a specialist education in dementia or geriatrics, it is highly meritorious, and a specialist position may become relevant. Specialization in psychiatry or district nursing is also meritorious and may mean that you are employed in a specialist role.

You have a very good demeanor, enjoy working with people, and have the desire to make a difference for our patients. We value that you are confident in your professional role and can work independently. You are responsible and engaged in your work, professional in your assessments and decisions, and you easily adapt your working methods based on changed conditions and new information. In the role, you need to have a good overview of current tasks and interventions, so the ability to independently organize and follow up your work is important.

You see it as a given to collaborate, you have a collegial approach, and contribute to a good atmosphere in the workgroup.

Since the role of a nurse involves leading others, you need to have the ability to explain and guide, educate, and inform in a pedagogical manner. You can express yourself well in Swedish, both orally and in writing, and have good experience with IT-based journal systems.

We require that you have a B driver's license and before an employment offer, a police record extract must be presented.
