The IT Department's primary task is to provide IT services to the entire Police Authority. The IT department is an important part of the crime prevention and crime-fighting work, and IT is one of the most important tools for streamlining the police and improving the quality of police work. The IT department develops and modernizes the police's IT, and the authority invests heavily in strengthening the department with new specialist expertise and the latest technology for the benefit of citizens and employees in the police operations.

Job Description

As a Platform Engineer at the Police Authority, you will help build entirely new environments, as well as maintain and automate existing ones. Your tasks include designing and implementing new solutions, configuration, and troubleshooting. Collaboration with development teams, modern platform development, environmental monitoring, and automation are central parts of the role of Platform Engineer.

Qualifications

This is an opportunity for you who have:

• At least three years of relevant work experience in the field as assessed by the employer
• Relevant post-secondary education in IT, or equivalent acquired experience that the Police Authority considers comparable
• Extensive experience and competence in Openshift or Kubernetes On-Prem
• Extensive experience and competence in GitOps
• Very good knowledge of Swedish, both spoken and written
• Good knowledge of English, both spoken and written
• Swedish citizenship

It is advantageous if you also have:

• Experience with modern observability tools
• Good knowledge of Container Networking (CNI)
• Good knowledge of Container Storage and Software-Defined Storage (SDS)
• Good knowledge of security in container platforms
• Good knowledge of Golang and/or Python
• Experience developing Kubernetes operators
• Experience working in a government agency or similar that the employer considers relevant
