About the Job

Lugnet Elderly Care is located in the community of Örslösa in a beautiful nature-close environment and is one of our elderly care facilities that belongs to our countryside.

Here you will also find our meeting place, which is a gathering point for the elderly in rural areas.

We are now looking for a nursing assistant who wants to be part of our team consisting of care staff, district nurse, occupational therapist, physiotherapist, and unit manager. Together we ensure that our clients receive the best possible care and support.

Job Responsibilities

As a care staff member, you meet the needs of the care recipients. Respect for people's self-determination and integrity is the foundation of your work, and you are expected to provide good care and support. The work consists of care tasks tailored to the individual. You assist clients in their homes with hygiene, social interaction, stimulation, and activation. You will also need to perform certain health and medical care and rehabilitative interventions as prescribed by a nurse, physiotherapist, and occupational therapist. You work independently but have good collaboration skills and actively participate in teamwork.

Your workday is guided by the needs and wishes of the clients, and you work from an activating approach. We are here for them, and together with the rest of the team, you plan and are responsible for your work through implementation plans.

As a nursing assistant, you also work with contact management, for one or more clients, you are the one who builds a safe and sustainable relationship between colleagues, your clients, and their relatives. In contact management, you are responsible for ensuring that implementation plans are established, followed up, and revised. Your work includes ongoing documentation.

Who Are You?

We are looking for someone who takes responsibility for their tasks, has the ability to create security, and to meet and understand the needs of the clients. As a person, you have the ability to take initiative and create trusting relationships based on care and empathy. It is natural for you to work independently but also to collaborate actively in a team. Each unit consists of teams with different professional categories. Everyone in the team collaborates based on their competence and holistic view of the client. A cohesive close support creates security for the client. Quick adjustments and adaptations in support occur as needed.

Requirements:

• To be employed as a nursing assistant, you need to attach proof of protected professional title or a certificate from your current employer confirming that you had a permanent position as a nursing assistant on July 1, 2023.
• Proficiency in Swedish in speech and writing as well as good reading comprehension.
• Basic digital competence.

Meritorious:

• Care and nursing college diploma.
• Experience in similar work and/or education in dementia.
• Experience in documentation.

Conditions

We are looking for a nursing assistant for a permanent position at 100%.

You will work scheduled hours such as days, evenings, and weekends.

Your employment will be within the Social Welfare Sector of Lidköping Municipality, with placement at Lugnet Elderly Care, which means that you may be required to work at other units than Lugnet Elderly Care.

For this specific position, you will initially be placed at Lugnet, but you may be transferred to Bräddegården Elderly Care in 2027. More information about this can be provided during a potential job interview.

Lugnet Elderly Care is located outside central Lidköping, and we expect you to be able to commute to and from work independently as public transport connections are limited.
