PTP Psychologist for Child and Family Health

Child and Family Health welcomes expectant parents and children up to 12 years old and their parents for support and assistance in their family situation. We work closely and are co-located with the Gävle Youth Center.

Our psychosocial team consists of 10 employees who are psychologists and social workers. The current position primarily involves working with the target group of children aged 6-12 years.

There are good commuting opportunities as our premises are located in central Gävle, close to the train station.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a PTP psychologist with us, you will have many varied and meaningful tasks where you work both independently and in collaboration with colleagues and other stakeholders. You will receive continuous supervision in addition to PTP supervision. As a PTP psychologist, you will also be responsible for developmental assessments for children up to five years old.

As a PTP psychologist, you will work with:

• early interventions to prevent and alleviate mental health issues in children
• treatment of mild to moderate mental health issues at the individual and family level
• psychopedagogical group treatment for children, adolescents, and parents.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who can work independently but also has a good ability to collaborate with others. We value open and responsive communication in the team to be part of each other's learning. You take responsibility for your task and structure how you approach and drive your patient work forward. The ability to adapt how you convey messages based on the recipient will be important in your work with patients and relatives. Being able to focus on the right things and tackle challenges at work with calmness and stability are seen as important qualities.

In the role of PTP psychologist, you should have:

• a recognized psychology degree
• experience in psychosocial treatment work.

It is desirable that you have:

• basic psychotherapy training with a focus on CBT
• experience working with children and families
• experience in teamwork and collaboration with healthcare partners.

Great emphasis will be placed on personal suitability.
