The lung unit is part of the internal medicine department and consists of a lung ward and lung clinic, providing acute and specialized care for the entire Gävleborg region.

We at the lung clinic are looking for a team member with a focus on sleep apnea. As a nurse with us, you will be offered a fun and constantly developing job in outpatient care, in addition to your work at the clinic, you will also serve in the internal medicine ward for at least 20 percent of your working hours.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Sleep apnea involves repeated breathing interruptions during sleep. These interruptions disturb sleep and cause daytime fatigue but can also increase the risk of other diseases. The work is independent and involves following the patient through the entire care chain by diagnosing, treating, and following up with patients.

As a nurse with us, you will work with standard clinic tasks such as:

• assisting with bronchoscopy
• telephone advice
• preparing for doctor visits
• administrative tasks such as scheduling.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who enjoys working in a team but can also work independently. You have a good empathetic ability and a positive attitude towards both patients and colleagues. We also see that you are flexible and can easily adapt to changing circumstances and situations.

In the role of nurse, you must be a licensed nurse.
