Nurse for Dialysis Unit

As a nurse in the dialysis unit, you will work with kidney patients who come for dialysis treatment 3 to 4 times a week, often for many years. The job involves close contact with patients and significant work with medical technology equipment.

As an employee in the dialysis unit, you are an important part of our nephrology unit, which is at the forefront in Sweden. Within nephrology, there are clinics for hemodialysis, kidney failure, peritoneal dialysis, kidney outpatient care, and inpatient care for kidney patients.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

The work in the dialysis unit uniquely combines technology and nursing with independent work on patient treatment and care. In addition to patient work, where each nurse has specific nursing responsibilities for a number of their own patients, each employee also has specific tasks aimed at improving the quality of care and medical management.

We believe in empowering patients by involving them in their care, and therefore focus on self-care. We work in groups with nursing responsible nurses for safe patient care of high quality.

As a nurse, you will be responsible for patient treatment and will work with:

• starting dialysis
• monitoring during dialysis
• disconnecting dialysis.

QUALIFICATIONS

We expect you to actively participate in business development, take personal responsibility, and work with us towards our goals. As a person, you are self-driven, flexible, structured, see the big picture, and take into account the larger perspective, as well as having good collaboration skills.

In the role of nurse, you should:

• be a licensed nurse.

If you have experience working with dialysis, we consider it an advantage.
