Your Workplace

At our clinic in Torsby, 18 dedicated employees work together in a close-knit team. The clinic is located at the Hospital in Torsby and primarily serves the residents of Sunne and Torsby municipalities.

We have psychologists, psychiatric nurses/nurses, social workers, occupational therapists, and medical administrators. We also offer mobile services, which create increased flexibility and accessibility for our patients. We regularly welcome students, such as resident doctors, PTP psychologists, and nursing students, contributing to a dynamic and learning work environment.

Your Responsibilities

As a specialist physician with us, you will be responsible for assessment, investigation, diagnosis, and treatment of patients, in close collaboration and dialogue with other professional groups in the team. An important part of the role is also collaboration with healthcare neighbors and external actors, such as other healthcare providers and authorities. Our operations primarily target individuals with severe mental illness, but we accept a broad spectrum of patients to assess, confirm, or rule out the need for specialist psychiatric care.

Your Skills and Competencies

We are looking for someone who is a specialist physician in psychiatry. Previous experience in psychiatric outpatient care, addiction care, and insurance medicine is advantageous. Since travel may be included in the position, you need to have a valid driver's license (B).

You are confident in your professional role, have good self-awareness, and a professional approach. You collaborate well with others, communicate clearly, and contribute to a positive work climate.

Your specialist knowledge in psychiatry is well-founded, and you stay updated in your field. You also have the ability to see the whole picture – both in the patient's situation and in the development of the organization – which allows you to make well-informed decisions with both the individual and the organization in focus.
