About Me

Hello! I am a 17-year-old guy living in Hässelby. I enjoy bowling, music, video games - and of course, having fun! Sometimes I go to music camps outside Stockholm, and my assistants come along. I communicate with words, hands, and facial expressions, so it’s great if you are good at reading and adapting.

My life is a mix of adventures and quiet days at home. I need someone who can accompany me to school, activities, and help me at home. I hope you want to be a part of my team!

About You

You are a reliable and responsible person who enjoys being an important support for someone else. You have a good sense of humor but can also be focused when needed. It’s a big plus if you have experience with alternative communication.

You need to have a good command of the Swedish language so we can understand each other.

It is a requirement that you are smoke-free and it is important that you have good physical fitness to assist me with transfers. You will also assist me with my basic needs, such as personal hygiene.

Staffing:

This position includes an extended (and paid) staffing assignment, which means that some weeks you must be available at times other than working hours to call in a substitute or step in yourself when intervention is needed.

This is Assistans i Balans's way of ensuring that our clients always have a familiar assistant by their side. The assignment is shared with some of your colleagues, who work according to a regular schedule.

Leading Assistant (Occasional times during the regular leader's absence):

In this position as a personal assistant, there may be occasional opportunities for an extended role as a leader (personal coordinator) in the assistance.

This means that you, in close consultation with the assistance user (or legal representative), will design the assistance user’s personal assistance according to the intentions of LSS regarding self-determination, choice, and personal integrity.

In addition to leading other assistants as described above, you ensure that the working environment is safe and secure and are responsible for the schedule.

The Position:

Is at 75% (30 hours per week) to allow for taking additional shifts as needed during your staffing responsibility. Working hours are scheduled throughout the day, every day of the year, according to a rolling schedule.
