At the eye clinic at Centralsjukhuset in Kristianstad, we work with both acute and planned care as well as outpatient surgeries. Our staff consists of over seventy employees, including nine specialist and senior physicians, nine resident physicians, ophthalmic nurses, nurses, orthoptists, optometrists, nursing assistants, medical secretaries, and administrators. We work in five interdisciplinary teams where each employee is given the opportunity to deepen their special interests and participate in active knowledge exchange, which contributes to our leading position in several subspecialties.
We are determined to develop the future eye clinic to meet the increasing demand for specialist care in the field of ophthalmology. JOB RESPONSIBILITIES
We welcome two specialist/senior physicians with areas of expertise in glaucoma and pediatric ophthalmology.
At our eye clinic, an active change process is underway with engagement and drive in all professional groups. We work in teams, where the teams continuously develop and improve. In the role of specialist/senior physician, you will have outpatient work with both specialized and general ophthalmological cases, as well as supervision of resident physicians and junior doctors. You will also be part of the clinic's on-call duty, which is conducted on weekdays until 5:00 PM and on weekends from 11:00 AM to 2:00 PM.
QUALIFICATIONS
We are looking for you who are a licensed physician with specialist competence in ophthalmology and authorized to practice within Swedish healthcare. We prefer that you are subspecialized and/or have experience working with glaucoma or pediatric ophthalmology. Your language skills in Swedish correspond to at least level C1 according to the Common European Framework of Reference for Languages. Experience with ultrasound, strabismus surgery, and treatment of corneal and uveal diseases is an advantage.

You are communicative with a good ability to express yourself both verbally and in writing.
