We are looking for an Assistant Project Manager BEST for a long-term assignment in Stockholm.

The position is full-time.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Stockholm County is one of the fastest-growing metropolitan regions in Europe. The county's population is increasing by about 40,000 people each year. This creates a demand for more housing and better travel options. Therefore, the subway will be expanded under the so-called Stockholm Negotiation with 20 kilometers of track and eleven new stations, and the municipalities receiving the new subway will build 82,000 new homes. Additionally, depot capacity will be expanded to accommodate the new trains needed as the subway grows. The subway expansion is also part of the so-called Sweden Negotiation and includes about eight kilometers of track, six new stations, and an additional 48,500 homes.

The investment in the subway is so important for the region's future that the state, Region Stockholm, Järfälla Municipality, Nacka Municipality, Solna City, and Stockholm City have agreed on joint financing for the expansion.

The client is responsible for planning, designing, and constructing the subway.

As an Assistant Project Manager BEST, you will be part of the project's management organization for the execution of the BEST facility included in the Subway to Arenastaden.

Your main focus is project management of both preparatory work and the overall BEST contract. You are also expected to relieve the project manager with the design management in the project.

Your task is to follow up on the project's progress regarding execution, cost, time, quality, safety, work environment, environment, and social sustainability. You will do this in close dialogue with the project manager and the project's construction management organization. In your role as Assistant Project Manager, you will represent the client in meetings with the contractor, designers, collaborators, stakeholders, and the public.

Responsibilities

- Assist the project manager in daily project work

- Participate in, plan, and lead project meetings

- Plan and follow up on project work

- Actively drive and participate in the project's design management

- Review designed documents

- Ensure that all work is carried out according to the contract documents

- Assist in forecasting regarding finances and time

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

At least 10 years of work in projects related to rail-bound infrastructure. At least 5 years of experience as a project manager within rail-bound infrastructure focusing on BEST (Track, Electrical, Signal, Telecom). At least 5 years of experience in construction under conditions with operational facilities. At least 2 years of experience in work with signal safety systems, TUB1 Track and Tunnel Authorization Cat X. Course in AB 04 or ABT 06.

Meritorious

5 years of experience in design management within rail-bound infrastructure. 5 years of experience working for public clients with assignments in rail-bound traffic.
