We are looking for a Technical Project Manager with electrical expertise for the Traffic Authority in Stockholm.

This is a consultancy assignment.

The position is part-time, with a workload of fifty percent.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

Saltsjöbanan is a railway for passenger traffic established in 1893, running between Slussen and Saltsjöbaden as well as Solsidan. The line is divided into two routes, line 25 which runs between Slussen and Saltsjöbaden and line 26 which runs between Igelboda and Solsidan. Saltsjöbanan is an important part of Nacka's public transport as it connects travelers from areas such as Fisksätra, Saltsjöbaden, and Solsidan with Tvärbanan, Slussen, and the upcoming subway to Nacka. It is also a crucial part of Nacka's urban development projects.

In order to operate Saltsjöbanan with new vehicles, the electrical power system needs to be upgraded and strengthened. This includes low voltage, high voltage, contact lines, and supplementary measures. Furthermore, the electrical power system must facilitate the construction of a new workshop hall in Neglinge and weather protection in Storängen.

The Electrical Power Reinforcement Project, which is an essential part of the Saltsjöbanan program, is now seeking a driven Technical Project Manager within electrical power rail facilities for contact lines, low, medium, and high voltage (11/22/33 kV as well as 400, 750, 1500V) with experience in large project organizations.

The role of the Technical Project Manager is to lead and coordinate all technical aspects of the project, from planning and design to implementation and handover. The role includes overall responsibility for ensuring that all technical solutions are delivered according to requirements, budget, and schedule. The role also involves responsibility for coordination and communication between various actors and stakeholders.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate between internal and external stakeholders (contractors, suppliers, authorities).
• Review consultants' and contractors' tender documents and construction drawings.
• Be responsible for the technical management of the project from design to implementation and handover.
• Ensure that technical solutions and specifications meet the requirements set by the Technical Department (TE), laws and regulations, and that they maintain high quality.
• Identify and manage risks related to technical issues.
• Act as a link between the client and the project organization on all technical matters.
• Participate in decision-making regarding technical aspects of the project.
• Provide technical expertise and advice to project managers throughout the project.
• Ensure that the project's technical solutions are compatible and coordinated with other ongoing projects in the Saltsjöbanan program.
• Participate in planning and coordination of joint work tasks, especially for contact lines, low, medium, and high voltage (11/22/33 kV as well as 400, 750, 1500V) and electrical power facilities.
• Follow up on contractors' work and ensure that it is performed in accordance with contracts and technical requirements.
• Initiate and drive solutions in case of deviations or problems.

Requirements (IMPORTANT, mandatory)

Bachelor's degree or higher in electrical power or equivalent competence. At least 8 years of documented experience in technical project management within electrical power. At least 5 years of documented experience in technical work and/or technical project management within electrical power, of which at least 3 years specifically in electrical power rail facilities for low, medium, and high voltage (400V, 750V/1500V as well as 11/22/33 kV double cable systems).

Meritorious

At least 3 years of documented experience in technical work and/or technical project management within rail traffic contact lines for direct current. Documented experience of having led at least 2 technical investigations within electrical power, of which at least 1 specifically within rail facilities. Specialist knowledge in at least one technical area related to electrical power. At least 3 years of documented experience in technical work and/or technical project management within electrical power on the client side.
