We are looking for a BAS-U Coordinator for the Traffic Authority in Stockholm.

The position is part-time, with a workload of approximately fifty percent.

The assignment involves close collaboration with the client, which places high demands on flexibility and teamwork.

The Assignment

The authority's mission is to prepare and implement decisions regarding the direction and scope for a long-term sustainable public transport system. They are also responsible for the management and monitoring of traffic operations as well as maintaining the functionality, safety, and value of the infrastructure. Every day, more than 700,000 people travel using public transport, including the subway, buses, commuter trains, and local trains. Previous investigations and planning studies have identified the need for the development and adaptation of the current traffic control system on the green line to enable a lifetime extension until 2035. Against this background, the authority has negotiated with the supplier and developed requirement clarifications and proposals for investment agreements.

The project includes measures to extend the lifespan of the green line's signaling system from 2025 to 2040. The scope includes the development, testing, and implementation of a new technical solution at the Farsta Strand substation area for the green line's signaling system. The purpose of the lifetime extension is to release critical spare parts for the entire green line's signaling system by implementing the new technical solution at the Farsta Strand substation area so that such spare parts can be used for other parts of the system. The project also includes a switch to LED signals and the implementation of an upgraded onboard system on ten (10) C20 vehicles with associated testing and training. (Upgrading additional C20 vehicles is planned to be handled within the framework of vehicle maintenance commitments in the subway traffic agreement. The construction work environment coordinator coordinates, supports, and drives the work environment efforts forward in the construction project and provides expertise in work environment issues and ensures that routines on the construction site are followed.Responsibilities

Requirements (Note, mandatory)

Documented approved BAS-U training. The training must be updated/repeated within the last 6 years. Training/update must be stated in the CV. Certificates must be available upon request. At least 3 years of experience in the role of BAS-U within railways, subways, or local trains. Describe how the requirement is met in column D and refer to assignments in the CV for the bid to be approved. Hold track and tunnel authorization, at least "Track and Tunnel Authorization Cat X9".

Desirable

Documented experience of BAS-U work during traffic shutdowns. Hold track and tunnel authorization, at least "Track and Tunnel Authorization Cat 16".
