The Vänersborg area consists of two prisons in Vänersborg and a remand center in Uddevalla. Östragård Prison is an open facility with room for 191 clients, one department is aimed at clients convicted of sexual offenses. Brinkeberg Prison is a closed facility with room for 130, and the remand center in Uddevalla has 57 places.

JOB DESCRIPTION

As a production leader, you have a supervisory role and direct contact with our clients. In daily contact with clients, you contribute to their learning and self-reflection. You plan, distribute work, and ensure that our deliveries are made on time. Clarify rules and routines, instruct, and support the client in their work. Together with other colleagues, you ensure that the prison's work is conducted in accordance with applicable legislation. You check, keep attendance, and write payroll for completed work. Your tasks also include performing quality controls. If necessary, you may be required to participate in production to complete deliveries. As a production leader, you are expected to actively contribute to maintaining a good security culture and a positive collaborative climate. Östragård Prison is looking for staff for the greenhouse, for our outdoor team that manages the green areas around the prison. We are also looking for staff for the carpentry shop, assembly, and packaging. Brinkeberg Prison is looking for staff for welding, CNC, as well as assembly and packaging.

QUALIFICATIONS

We are looking for someone who is secure, stable, and self-aware. You find it easy to collaborate with others and have well-founded and clear values. In stressful situations, you remain calm, stable, and controlled. You have the ability to make correct assessments and priorities. You have a good understanding of how people absorb knowledge and adapt your way of conveying messages based on the recipient's conditions. You should also have a physical condition that allows you to act physically if the situation requires it.

It is important that you share the Swedish Prison and Probation Service's fundamental values of a humane view of humanity, respect for the individual, and belief in people's willingness and ability to develop.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Experience in relevant work areas, such as workshop, welding, CNC, assembly, and packaging, carpentry, or greenhouse cultivation
• Complete upper secondary education (read more via the link under other)
• Good knowledge of the Swedish language in both speech and writing
• Good computer skills
• B driver's license

It is an advantage if you have:

• Experience in mentoring others at work
• Forklift license
• Work experience from correctional services, security work, social care, psychiatry, or healthcare and social work
• Relevant language skills
