About the Role

Vattenfall Eldistribution is part of the Vattenfall Distribution business area and is at the heart of the energy transition, playing a central role in the powerful electrification currently taking place at the societal level. The Distribution business area has about 4,500 employees in Sweden, and in addition to regulated electricity network operations, it includes field service operations - Vattenfall Service Nordic and Vattenfall Network Solutions, which provides Power-as-a-Service solutions to corporate customers.
We are looking for someone who wants to take on the task of leading and developing the Strategy & Operational Excellence unit within Vattenfall's Swedish electricity network operations; Vattenfall Distribution. You will also have a coordinating role within the entire Distribution business area for your area of responsibility and collaborate with corresponding functions towards the Vattenfall Group.
About the Position
As the head of a newly established Strategy & Operational Excellence unit, you will be responsible for the company's function for Strategy and Operational Excellence.
The unit's main areas of responsibility are;
- Develop the business area's operational strategy, drive strategic analyses, projects, and initiatives.
- Be responsible for and coordinate the business area's operational efficiency program in close collaboration with the Vattenfall Group for continuous improvements.
- Identify, drive, and coordinate strategic influence issues.
- Drive the business in continuous development and efficiency. Manage and develop frameworks and models for the company's business development and process work.
In the role of Director Strategy & Operational Excellence, you will have two direct-reporting managers with approximately 25 employees primarily located in Solna. You will report to the head of the business area's management - VP Business Control & Operational Excellence and be part of the management team for the business support function Business Control & Operational Excellence. Your main collaboration points are with the CEO, other support functions, and the operational units within Vattenfall Eldistribution as well as with corresponding functions in other legal entities within the business area. Within your area of responsibility, you are responsible for leading and developing the unit in line with the company's leadership principles; driving innovation, accelerating learning, and connecting people.
Requirements Specification
- Relevant academic degree.
- Extensive experience in a leadership position with responsibility for strategy – preferably from a larger organization/consulting firm.
- Documented experience in operational efficiency and process work.
- Documented experience working independently with company management and decision-makers.
- Documented experience from companies/industries that have undergone significant change where you have led, for example, strong growth/transformation or similar.
- Fluent in Swedish and English, both spoken and written.
