Responsibilities
In your role as a Design Engineer, you will be responsible for change and improvement work for electrical and electromechanical design of power electronics products. You often start with a relatively vague problem description and work from there to develop proposals for redesign to address, for example, quality, cost, or availability-related issues. Your tasks will also include assisting our service and QAE teams with in-depth root cause investigations of internal and external returns.
You will belong to a team of six colleagues to bounce ideas and thoughts with.
Additional tasks include:
Driving electrical and electromechanical design improvements in products
Performing practical troubleshooting and root cause investigation of products in the lab and in dialogue with suppliers
Conducting and documenting technical investigations
Participating in planning and process development
Providing feedback on field issues to new designs
Qualifications
We are looking for someone with at least a 3-year relevant university degree and several years of experience as a Design Engineer in electronics, preferably with experience in the manufacturing and assembly of embedded electronics.
Experience in electromagnetic and mechanical design is a plus, as well as experience in the automotive sector.
Fluency in Swedish and/or English, both spoken and written, is a requirement.
Furthermore, we would like you to have experience with:
Familiarity with schematic and layout work, such as in OrCAD
Simulation with Pspice/LTspice
Margin calculations
HW testing and test documentation
As a person, you are unpretentious, solution-oriented, and willing to tackle all kinds of problems. You enjoy working broadly and managing multiple responsibilities simultaneously.
