Driven Communicator Wanted for Police Region Stockholm

The Swedish Police Authority is Sweden's largest authority with over 40,000 employees. The Communications Department is one of the Police Authority's national departments responsible for proactively directing, developing, and coordinating the Police Authority's communication efforts, as well as providing strategic and operational communication support throughout the authority.

We are now seeking a driven communicator for the communications unit in Police Region Stockholm. You will belong to a unit of 27 people, including digital, regional, and area communicators, designers, and press officers.

JOB RESPONSIBILITIES

As a communicator, you will work with communication issues in a dynamic and rapidly changing environment. You will be an operational and strategic communication support for managers and other key functions, working with analysis, planning, implementation, and follow-up of both internal and external communication efforts. You will produce and publish content across various channels and collaborate with other team members in our communication teams.

Main Responsibilities:

• Initiate, plan, implement, and follow up on communication efforts
• Provide support to managers and function leaders in communication matters
• Develop internal and external communication based on set goals
• Produce and publish content across various channels
• Collaborate both within and outside the authority on communication issues
• Conduct competence-enhancing initiatives within communication

QUALIFICATIONS

This is an opportunity for you who have/are:

• Relevant education and/or experience deemed relevant by the employer
• Experience supporting and coaching managers and employees in communication matters
• Good experience in planning and implementing communication efforts
• Very good communicative ability in spoken and written Swedish

It is meritorious if you also have:

• Experience working with various digital channel publishing systems, such as EpiServer/Optimizely/Sitevision or similar
• Experience producing target group-adapted communication materials for various channels, such as web, intranet, and social media
• Experience in communication work in a complex environment deemed relevant by the employer

We see that you bring new ideas and have a good ability to switch between planned and event-driven work, as well as between strategic and operational tasks. You also have a good ability to handle a sometimes high work tempo effectively. You see the big picture and can easily adapt messages and explain complex issues across different channels to various target groups. To succeed in the job, you need to be a social person who can work both in a team and independently, and you are good at building strong relationships.
