About the Role

We are looking for a senior designer to join a cross-functional project team responsible for developing a new generation of hospital beds. As a senior designer, you will be responsible for the design and evaluation of concepts, as well as the creation of specifications. You will also be involved in the construction and verification of prototypes. The focus is on load-bearing, welded metal constructions, but plastic constructions are also part of the product's design and development.

The project is in an early development phase where we are designing and constructing a completely new product. The goal is to develop a product that not only meets high demands for cost, manufacturing, usability, and long-term quality but is also designed to enhance the user's experience and needs in a sustainable way. We strive to create a solution that makes a difference for people, both through function and sustainability.

Requirements

We are looking for someone with solid knowledge of CAD, particularly in SolidWorks. You have documented experience in metal constructions, including sheet metal, welding, and load-bearing structures. Experience in plastic construction is a plus. We prefer that you have previously worked with products that have a clear end-user and have a good understanding of user requirements and experiences.

You have knowledge of manufacturing processes, DFM, and previous experience in creating detailed drawings and tolerance settings for welded structures as well as metal constructions. You also have the ability to perform mechanical analyses and simulations and collaborate with cross-functional teams and external suppliers in a global environment. We prefer that you are self-driven, capable of planning and managing your own work in a structured and efficient manner.
