Are you an engineer, IT technician, electrical technician, property technician, machinist, or refrigeration technician?

Birka BioStorage is expanding in Västra Odarslöv just outside Lund. Our core business involves handling sensitive research samples and is therefore regulated by an oversight authority and must also meet high customer demands. We operate according to Good Manufacturing Practice (GMP) standards.

This means we are looking for two new operations technicians to join our technical team. The candidates must be accustomed to working very disciplined and able to closely follow quality requirements so that you can take responsibility for the operation and backup routines of the facility.

Monitoring of the facility and control of operations, documentation, and reporting is done according to established instructions, so it is important that you are meticulous as a person. You notice small details but also understand the bigger picture, and you can work both independently and in a team. It is important that you are flexible regarding both time and tasks, as longer working days/weekend shifts and constant prioritization of tasks may be required at times.

Responsibilities:

• Regular monitoring of facility operations, such as storage equipment at various temperatures, refrigerators and freezers, servers, networks, backups, security, and alarms.
• Perform installation, inspection, and service of storage equipment and storage areas both independently and as part of a team.
• Participate in maintenance programs, including service, calibration, cleaning, validation, and relocation.
• Contribute to the development of operational routines and documentation.
• Engage in preventive measures to avoid interruptions.
• Be part of the on-call group, which means you may be called in during emergencies.
