Your Role

As a mechanical engineer at Saab, you will be an important part of our journey towards the next generation of defense systems. You will work on developing and shaping the future security solutions, with a particular focus on radar technology within Surveillance. Your role will be central throughout the entire product lifecycle, from idea to delivery and maintenance.

With us, you will collaborate with creative and innovative teams within mechanics to explore and develop the latest technology. You will work closely with project managers, other development teams, suppliers, and customers to ensure that our products meet the highest standards of reliability and performance.

Our mechanical engineers primarily work in CAD tools (Creo) and PDM systems (IFS) to create solutions that can withstand demanding environments, including vibrations, corrosion, and extreme temperature fluctuations.

Your Profile

To thrive with us, you believe in a culture of complete transparency, trust, and are open to developing both within and outside your areas of expertise. We place great importance on your personal qualities combined with having one or more of the following experiences:

• Master's degree in mechanical engineering or product development, or equivalent education/experience.
• Several years of experience in mechanical design.
• Proficient in CAD and experienced with Creo.
• Experience in systems engineering may be an advantage.

This is an open application for you to work in mechanical design at Saab in Gothenburg. Based on your experience and background, we will match your application against the openings we have.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the current regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security clearance, this may, in some cases, entail requirements for certain citizenship.
