We are now staffing up to effectively meet the needs of our new manufacturing organization for production technical support and development!

Your Role

Our manufacturing is currently divided into Agile Manufacturing and Lean Manufacturing. In these manufacturing units, we produce the majority of the articles, units, and cables that we assemble and verify for delivery to our customers. Parts of our manufacturing are carried out in clean rooms where special cleanliness requirements apply.

As a production technician, you are the spider in the web between production and design. You work closely with operators, assemblers, and manufacturing managers in part of the manufacturing flow, as well as closely with design to ensure manufacturability. The role includes, among other things, having product knowledge, understanding the manufacturing flow, analyzing deviations, and identifying improvements so that you contribute to delivering quality from the first piece. Our goal is that the proactive measures we take on the production lines should mitigate future reactive measures - here you are expected to take a leading role in both identifying appropriate actions and implementing them! You will use your experience, data-driven decisions, and a strong drive to succeed.

You will organizationally belong to Production Engineering, which today consists of two groups totaling 46 people, of which 41 are production technicians and 5 operations technicians. As part of the technician team, you are responsible for product and manufacturing-related issues within the manufacturing area you support. In your production technical responsibility, you are also expected to work with colleagues within Production Engineering and manufacturing instances to strive for a production that is robust and future-proof, with predictable capacity.

Your tasks include, among others:

• Proactively maintain and optimize manufacturing flow and processes
• Support in the analysis of metrics, suggest actions, and drive through changes
• Ensure that new processes and new technologies can be handled by operators
• Manage failures related to manufacturing processes
• Perform project tasks such as creating and maintaining work instructions, routings, instructions, handling deviations, and other project assignments
• Provide support and assistance to our operators and assemblers
• Participate in operational meetings and follow-ups as well as managing activities initiated from these
• Work closely with design to ensure the DFM perspective.

We are looking for someone who has:

• Technical interest and experience in mechanics and electronics manufacturing
• Analytical ability to identify actions and activities
• Ability to read and understand drawings and technical documentation
• Good ability to understand and express yourself in English and Swedish
• Good knowledge and experience working in the Office suite (Word, Excel, etc.)
• Good knowledge and experience working in Creo.

We prefer that you have a technical background and/or education in a relevant field.

If you have experience in areas such as transformers, semi-rigid cables, high-voltage devices, or other process-heavy operations where high precision and cleanliness are required, it is an advantage.

Our business system is IFS, and previous experience working in this system is an advantage.

The position requires you to undergo and be approved according to the applicable regulations for security protection. For positions where Saab has requirements for security classification, this may, in some cases, involve requirements for certain citizenship.
