Friday is seeking a Junior Project Engineer on behalf of a client, starting in the summer of 2026, with the possibility of starting to work part-time in the spring of 2026. In this position, you will be based at the office in Gothenburg and work on various projects where you will support about 6 people. You will work closely with experienced project managers and other disciplines. Since many at our client are experienced, you will receive solid support and the position will also begin with a thorough introduction, all to give you the best conditions in the role.

It is not a requirement to be able to work part-time in the spring of 2026, but the opportunity exists based on needs and in dialogue with the client.

In the role of Junior Project Engineer, you will have a broad role where you support various disciplines. In this position, you will support project managers in larger projects, as well as with documentation and administering technical reports. You will also have the opportunity to support other disciplines to gain a technical understanding related to, for example, requirements. The role further offers great development opportunities and a chance to deepen your knowledge in various technical areas.

A typical workday in this position will include:

• Acting as a document controller and participating in project planning.
• Being responsible for coordination and support in technical matters.
• Interpreting contracts based on commercial aspects such as technical requirements.
• Supporting purchasing.
• Supporting other engineering disciplines.

• Has a master's degree in chemical engineering, mechanical engineering, quality, production, or a related field.
• Has an interest in project management and being the spider in the web.
• Has good knowledge of both Swedish and English, both spoken and written, as both languages are communicated internally.

It is not a requirement, but it is advantageous if you:

• Have a bachelor's degree in mechanical engineering or process engineering combined with a master's in quality or production.
• Possess knowledge of flowcharts.
• Have knowledge of any CAD tool.
• Have had part-time jobs alongside your studies.
• Have previous work experience from the process industry and/or a similar role.

To succeed in this role, you need to possess strong communication skills and be motivated to drive progress. You are unpretentious and enjoy working independently as well as collaborating with different people. You are also willing to take initiative and can prioritize among several urgent tasks while maintaining good structure and attention to detail. Great emphasis will also be placed on personal suitability.
